Principal's Message

 I am honored to serve the students, families and community of Telfair EEC and share the wonder of the       preschool experience with you.  I have worked with the LAUSD for over 25 years and have held numerous   positions.  I began as a teacher assistant and taught ET/K through 3rd grade for over 10 years.  I then continued   expanding my horizons by becoming a Categorical Program Coordinator / TSP Adviser, Literacy Coach and an   Assistant Principal.  It has been a wonderful educational career thus far.  I also understand the stress and   delicate balance of parenthood/family and work life- whether it's working outside the home or stay at home /   work from home situations.    

 The staff at Telfair is here to support you in navigating the very important FIRST 5 years of your child's life.  Our   primary goal at Telfair EEC is to offer your child/ren a safe and healthy, inclusive and nurturing school   environment.  We place a strong emphasis on the social and emotional well-being of your child and strive to   help them grow cognitively through meaningful play-based learning opportunities throughout the instructional   day. 

 At TEEC, our concern is for the whole child. Our faculty and staff facilitate learning through specific, child-   centered activities that are developmentally appropriate for the growing needs of your child. We foster and build   on each child's positive self-worth and fully believe in their ability to be engaged and independent individuals.
